News Anchor on Jeffrey Epstein: “I’ve Had the Story Tor Three Years… We Would Not Put it On the Air”

ABC was less affected by the #MeToo movement than its other big three rivals, CBS and NBC. And yet, as this hot mic moment exposed courtesy of Project Veritas reveals, ABC News was equally determined to air nothing about Jeffrey Epstein.

In a hot mic moment, anchor Amy Robach describes getting Virginia Roberts to talk on the air.

“I’ve had the story for three years. I’ve had this interview with Virginia Roberts. We would not put it on the air,” she says. “First of all, I was told, ‘Who is Jeffrey Epstein? No one knows who that is. This is a stupid story.'”

Then she claims that ABC News wouldn’t air the story because they were worried that the Prince Andrew allegations, the royal was a close pal of Epstein’s, would keep ABC from landing an interview with more popular royals.

“Then the Palace found out that we had her whole allegations about Prince Andrew and threatened us a million different ways. We were so afraid we wouldn’t be able to interview Kate and Will, that also quashed the story,” Robach rants.

Then, in a very curious moment, she mentions, “We convinced her to talk to us. It was unbelievable, what we had. Clinton, we had everything.”

Now Virginia Roberts, the woman Robach wanted to put on the air, does have credibility issues. One of the basic problems involved in going after career abusers is that they pick victims who won’t be believed, or by the time they’re done, they’ve become unreliable because of the traumas they’ve suffered. But the reasons ABC gave seemed to have a lot more to do wiith avoiding the Epstein story and offending powerful people. They weren’t going to run the Epstein story. Until it became a convenient weapon to use against Trump, the media blockaded it. And they’re still covering it up today.
